Hello, the confession rolls for Sao Pedro and Sao Roque, Sao Miguel don't appear on the CCA site. Are they available anywhere? Short of taking a trip to Sao Miguel can I get them by writing to the churches or to the CCA. Also I'm curious if I wrote to the Bibiloteca Publica and Archive if they

Great! Did you collect all their kids and know who those kids married? Do you remember how we are related to each other? I checked for your Gedcom on FTDNA, but it's not up. I see you match me and my dad with DNA on Chromosome 4, exact same start and stop points (it's a little 6.52 cM block).

I don't think that the confession rolls were turned over, since they were mainly for church use and did not record a vital event. I believe the CCA has them only for a couple of freguesias and I don't believe there are plans to obtain them. They are not vital records. :( Cheri Mello Listowner,

The confession rolls are at the church. I haven't heard anyone be successful by writing to the churches. You will have to go there. I think the wills are housed somewhere else, not at the CCA, but I'm not 100% sure. I remember being told that they are filed alphabetically under the name of the
