Hi Becky,
You can't tell from the baptism. You'll have to pull the parents' marriage
to see if they are related and needed a dispensation. The grandfathers
could be the same person or even cousins with the same name. Or the priest
had too much eggnog. LOL

Hi Sam,
Do you know if the bride's father was deceased at the time of the marriage?
If so, i think the bride would need the father's legal permission if she
was under 25, but then again, i'm not sure if that applies to that time
period.

Using this link that you posted previously, I was able to comment and send
copies to my senators and representative. It outlines the issue and gives
help. Her letter has links near the bottom of the page to everywhere you
need to go to send the comment. The government site was up and running.
Thanks, Cheri. I found Virginia’s birth and it verifies her death date but; I
can’t quite read the date, in the sidenote. I think it does say 21 Dec 1966.

Just a quick reminder that the Ancestor Round-up is coming up on Saturday
January 25th. If you are interested in attending my Portuguese Research
Classes, please email me for the info and I will forward the Class Schedule
and the Registration form! Hope to see you there. If you live in
California,
OK, now it makes perfect sense.

Hi Sam,
I just checked her baptism record, the sidenote states #1 her marriage, #2
her husband's death, #3 and her own death.

Did you mean to attach Virginia's baptism?
Her parents' deaths would be in their baptism, not all the kids' baptisms.

Hi Angela; I found Virginia’s birth and I believe it says when her father
died, in the margin, but; I can’t quite read the date. Below that I think it
also says when she died?

I did find obitos for her parents. Her mother died 6 months before she
married and her father two years before.
