I wish they would get ALL the freguesias up to 1911. Some freguesias are

Thanks so much Rosemarie!
Agostinho and Margarida are my great-grandparents. I believe their first

the 1910 census, they reported one stillbirth. I'd found a probable birth
record for her on Ancestry, but the names

Hello folks,
I have been researching one of my lines in Calheta on Sao Jorge, and unearthed
some interesting information in one of the manuscript genealogies. There is a
paragraph that appears to talk about the life of my ancestor, and his promotion
to second lieutenant, and his appointment the
Thanks so much Cheri! I can see it clearly now.
Just for fun I went to the uminho site and found her and her twin sons and
other children. I have never had anyone from Pico to look for there before.

FTDNA ships worldwide. They ship to the Azores. They have the swabbing
instructions in Portuguese, however the shipping department does not look
at the label to see where the kit is going. So if you would like the
instructions in another language, you have to let FTDNA when you place the

marriage record of her son. Narciza Hilaria is a nice unique name, which will
certainly make searching for her a lot easier!
