Hi everyone.  Can someone translate the first part of this baptism:  Maria,
daughter of Barbara de Sousa, single,  and second of same . Antonio
digo, second of same .. daughter of Antonio Silveira Machado ...

translate up to the  born part.   I know I got up to the single part
correct, but no clue after that.

bottom right.   The year is 1718.

Morning everyone.

I need another set of eyes on this very faint baptismal.  I think her name
is Teresa (Theresa).  I can't make out the parents or the date of birth.
I think she was baptized on the 22nd.

And I can't make out the godparents.   Any help on this would be greatly
appreciated.  I hate to leave blank spaces in an index.

Hi everyone.   I need someone to tell me what date the priest wrote for the
DObirth, and then the DObaptism.

I think I'm reading born on the 8 day of Sep 1716, baptized on the 7 day of
same month and year, but I know that must be wrong.

Nancy.  These are the two links.  They are only portions of the book Notas
Historicas  of Calheta.

The  Victims of the 1757  earthquake on Sao Jorge, parishes of Ribeira Seca
and of Calheta will be sent to Kathy for uplink to Azores site.

I have done  23 & me.   I probably should do the ftdna so I'm on the same
page as everyone else.  That would be awesome to have your Ancestry tree.
I sent Jeremy a pdf copy of my tree from my great grandpa Pedro Silveira
Faustino.  I can send one to you too.

Pedro married Maria Victorina de Bettencourt in Salinas, Monterey, CA  on
10 Aug 1896.  They had a bunch of kids, but my grandmother Cecilia Louise
Foster was born 2 Oct 1908 in Castroville, Monterey, CA.   She had my dad
Charles N. Brill who was born on 17 Feb 1930, died 6 Dec 1986 in
Foresthill, Placer, CA.   My dad had me.  :)I think we are probably
first cousins but I don't know how far back.

I always love meeting new cousins!

I don't know the translation of the last three lines.

female first name.

It is also used as a last name with "de"  in front of it.  Usually for a
man.

This is an example for my question earlier regarding what I think is a Cro
after a person's name and whether this means they were a servant/slave in
the household.

In Jose's household is a 10 year old boy name Francisco is not listed as
being a son to Jose and his wife.

Anyone have any thoughts the "word" after Francisco's name?

Hello.  Can someone please read and tell me what the above marriage
document is saying.

The middle marriage belongs to my friend's family and gives a marriage date
of 28 Nov 1696.  Uminho (Cit-Cem)  says the marriage is 7 Jan 1697. She'd
like to know which is correct, and if this paragraph under the document is
a correction, and if so, why?

Thank you Joao.   I will do that.  I am verifying the work that my cousins
did on these lines (their direct line, my people are from Sao Jorge), which
is really filled with errors. The part that is throwing me the most is
the father of the groom.I have seen his surname listed as Salvador
twice in the records, and what looks to be Basoura in others; definite  B
versus  S.   Thanks again for the book tip.
