My great grandmother was a Tavares and arrived in New Bedford, through
Providence RI, with a lot of her family around 1912.
Could Pedro been Manuel Pedro Tavares and arrived in New Bedford in
1902 then moved to Fall River? That is what one document I have
found has for information.
As
I only went Thursday night, the conference ended on Saturday and I
was very busy at work and on Saturday we had family plans. I would
have gone Sunday if they had one more day.
So all I did was walk around the vendors area and went to a beginner
30 minute talk and a special interest group
I plan on attending, it is only 20 minutes from my home. Any
suggestions for a newbie going to these types of conferences?

Thank you very much. I am completely illiterate in Portugese,
technically I am only 1/4 Portugese and did not grow up in the New
Bedford area, where I could have been exposed to the language. I
don't think even my grandfather understood much Portugese.
