Yikes! I don't know how you all can read these records. I am starting to look
for my gggrandfather born about 1838. I think the record on the lower left for
Jose is a sibling but want to make sure I am on the right track. I think it
says "Jose son of Manuel Silveira de Souca, son of Manuel
I think the date is 2 March 1837 ("mil oito centos trinta e sette")
Really hard to read handwriting. Sorry I don't have time right now for more!

I see the names as you do. The birth date is 2 March 1837 and baptized on 10 of
the same month. Padrinho is Manuel José Lucas.
