Can someone make out this baby's name? I see parents Jacinto da Costa &
Rosa de Jesus, pats - Joao da Costa & Ritta da Conceicao, mats - Francisco
Tavares & Margarida de Jesus. Birth month March? Or May?
It seems to be Thereza. Teresa, in the current spelling.
The month seems to be March

I can read and understand it all with the exception of what happened on October
7, 1997? It’s on both the left and again on the right side of the body of the
document.
I think is Sebastiao da Costa.

Thank you. While I was aware of slavery in Portugal, I am mostly curious as
what prompts a slave's baptism. Was it their choice, were they forced to be
baptized? Anybody know?

I need help with Sebastião's godfather. I can see that his first name was
also Sebastião but the rest is just a bunch of squiggles. This is my 2nd
great grandfather and I would like to have his godfather's complete name if
possible.
I like Squiggles but could it be Sebastião Lixandre filho de Francisco
Lopes?

I have never seen the name Lixandre before this record, but now I think
I've seen it twice.
It looks to me like Sebastião Lixandre, filho familias de Sebastião
Lixandre and Maria Lianor.
I am nowhere near certainty--this record is tough.

I was reading "familial de" as Francisco Lopes, lol.I think it's
bedtime. I have a cousin whose name is Lisandro which could be the modern
spelling. I did a google search, Lixandre is in Mozambique.
