levels: whilst these days most listeners may not notice a split
infinitive, one still expects split infinitives to be
 caught before
  reaching the airwaves

Careful now. There is a pretty large school of thought that
 says there
is no problem with split infinitives in English. Complaining about
split infinitives is kind of like saying guess what
 happened to Mike and I.

I realised that as I wrote -- but I rather like the provocation that solid
standards seem to have on large schools of people: I used to get a kick out of
pointing out Microcruft's W3C breaches. Now they've got their act together, I
need a new hobbyhorse, and think the Beeb is convenient (coz I'm sat here).

Really, not too radical to suggest the BBC be a standard bearer, is it?

This three hour workshop will help you understand the potential and

create highly interactive and compelling environments. This workshop
will help you identify and position the value of Second Life to your

Sure, I'm attending.

Still haven't got round to posting my SL efforts here but a few of the
things I've done so far are plotting Google Earth KML feeds on a globe in SL
and using the Yahoo Weather RSS to create a dynamic UK weather map ( a bit
like the NOAA one. I tried to use the BBC feeds but they didn't appear to
have current data and the info appeared to be embedded in text rather than a
tag ). Have also got our chatbots working in world so you can ask for BBC
programme times etc.

Main office is at Nari 48,170, 134 and a demo area at Nari 15,240,125. IM me
in-world as Corro Moseley

Oh - and I've got the Nabaztag WiFi bunny wired up so that it tells me in RL
whenever someone enters the office in SL (where there's a virtual bunny)
