Layout's fine in Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome. In IE7 the
slogan/logo and navigation are colliding (as previously mentioned).

In Safari the 'Prototype' drop-down menu seems very iffy - disappears
more often than not. (I'm using version 3.2.1)

Also, there's a couple of bits you've missed...

"feed:http://welcomebackstage.com/feed/"; ? Never seen feed: prefixing an RSS
feed :P

And the top strapline is STILL overlapped by the dropdown menu. Also, if you
wipe your mouse cursor up and down the Prototype menu, it behaves peculiarly
(sometimes closes itself). Invisible div oddity?

IE7 supports alpha chans, and I'm using 7 (but if you're using alpha channel
PNGs then they're not showing correctly on the site for some reason... Are
they 24-bit?)... They will work in 6, there's been lots written about the
hacks to make them work in 6 and 5.5 -
http://apptools.com/examples/png-transparency/ as a starting point (or some
choice Googling: http://is.gd/repl)

We wanted to share it with the community first...

http://welcomebackstage.com/

Its still in beta and there will be links which point to the old site. But its
live and running. We are publishing to both places but that will change once we
change the backstage.bbc.co.uk domain.

We decided to drop the dusty platform of Moveable type for many reasons but one
of top reasons is that you can all now comment and ping on the blog entries
like you do for the rest of the blogs on the planet.

Don't forget if you have any suggestions for improvements =
http://ideas.welcomebackstage.com which will be tied more closely into the blog
soon. Otherwise lets us know what you think in the list.

By the way thanks to everyone who emailed me to say they heard my question on
stack overflow - http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail4044.html
(question 7).

Cheers

Ian

I know I shouldn't and everyone's going to hate me for biting. But explain how
we're shilling for Microsoft, bearing in mind we went to a large conference and
would post the same if it had been Etech, FOWA, etc. :)
