I am having a major problem with BackupPC. It is not resolving to the
proper IP address when trying to backup. I am including my test below.
As you can see my proper IP address at this moment is 192.168.30.15. When
I ssh into the BackuPC box and do a nslookup, I also get that IP address
I too am having this issue again with version 4.1.3 fresh from GIT. I did
check the version of the file in /bin and it does show as being from 4.1.3.
Anything I can run to help you diagnose the problem?

All,
Disregard this message. I feel like an idiot! I had created a host file
entry a while back to test and forgot to remove it. Once I removed the
entry, everything is working properly.

This depends on how you've defined your share(s), and what method you're
using. SMB has problems with BackupFilesOnly and BackupFilesExclude
combinations, so if you use this, consider moving any "BackupFilesOnly" to
separate "SmbShareName" entries.

I ran into a similar error when I switched backups from rsync to tar to try to
deal with a persistent timeout issue with one of my hosts. I’m still
