Hi I use backuppc to backup a few virtual machines, in my case I use a
snapshot feature from lvm to create a snaps and delete the snap after
the backup.
$Conf{DumpPostUserCmd} = '/usr/bin/sudo
/programas/scripts/backup_discos/borra_snap.sh';
$Conf{DumpPreUserCmd} = '/usr/bin/sudo

Yes, but it's pointless. You may as well just make a copy.
There are better ways to do what you want, for example you might look
into snapshotting filesystems.
