I know it's actually incredible but is there a way of only compiling the
SD and FD binaries, reason why I'm asking is that in order to get the SD
installed I had to compile the entire Bacula which meant installing a
DB, not that its that big of an issue I was just wondering if there is
way or an op
I don't know about that. I guess it's the question about your distribution
packages. I use FreeBSD and I can choose from its port (e.g. package) what to
build and what not to.

Hi,
thank you all for your ideas.
@James
The idea of your client sounds very good. Seems to be a great plugin for
Exchange - perhaps sometime for MSSQL, too.
At the moment I'm not able to you use VSS because the operating system

Hello Mark,
The Seg Fault is occurring inside kernel code when processing the
posix_fadvise() function.
The problem is either:
1. Bacula's configure code to detect posix_fadvise() is inadequate for older
OSes such as yours.
2. Your kernel is broken

Hi!
Is there a reason why wx-console should use WX 2.4? Every time I start
upgrading bacula-client, I just set "USE_WX=2.8" in bacula-server's Makefile

there wasn't any problem with it neither.
So is the 2.4 really ne

Sorry folks, I realized after I emailed this question that the question

Philip, et al,
What about for Jobs that are Restore Types? Can one specify the Full Backup,

rather than a mere "Pool" directive and thus ability to override a mere
"Storage" directive?

However, if you still need a particular version of Bacula, you can always
retrieve it from SVN and build it yourself.

Did you ever post the source to your exchange client? I'm very interested in
an exchange plugin for bacula, as I back up over 25 windows servers and I am
forced to use the windows backup agent to perform a backup of exchange.

As Michel Meyers pointed out, it doesn't see the import/export slot. I don't

Hi Guys, just trying to give this a bump, if it needs a bug report

I have just released the Bacula version 2.2.5 source tar files as well as the
Win32 binaries to the Bacula release area of Source Forge.
This release is an important bug fix upgrade to version 2.2.4, and I recommend
that all users upgrade as soon as possible.

That wouldn't work because Bacula currently does not support moving

Is anyone using a Quantum Superloader 3 with Bacula? If so, do you know
how to get bacula to eject the tape from the drive to the mailslot after
the tape has been "Used" and the "Use Duration" has been passed?
mtx eject
just ejects the left carousel, and not the individual tape.

Hi list,
anyone backuped a MS SQL server with Bacula?
Is this somehow possible - are there any plugins for that or do I have
to use the built-in backup functionality of the MS SQL server and backup
the database dumps / transaction logs later with Bacula?
