Hi!,
I have the need to build the file daemon statically linked because it
would run in a non-managed by me servers, which would be upgraded (apt
package upgrades) and then the library versions could change, even could
become uninstalled. I run configure as :
./configure
Hi,
One little but more or less dificult question mates :) .
Imagine I'm copying now with a copy job, a full job done two months ago,
to an archival pool (with different volume retention period obviously,
than the source pool. A bigger volume retention period than the source
pool). It's
or it creates new volumes and moves them to the requirant
pool.
The problem was to do more than needed lol
Cheers :)

Hi!
I have been playing with the full, inc, diff and scratch pool. I have
one volume in the full pool with one backup. Another volume in the
incremental pool with all jobs purged. No jobs should be there. Now I
launch a differential backup in differential pool, where no tapes exist.

A status dir is saying now that plans to do an incremental backup in the
appropiate time and in a volume of the incremental pool... so...
perhaps it's working now
I'll keep an eye on it... and will confirm :) :) :)
Thank you so much mates :)
Cheers!

Hi mates,
One little question. I have been doing some checks this afternoon. I
have a full pool, a differential one, incremental one,
month-archival-pool and year-archival-pool. If I do a full backup in the
pool full obviously it ends up fine. I can even restore from it. But if
I wanted to do
ng it too... when testing all this... but if you could

Hi Heitor!
Thank you so much for your time. I was asking it as... you know... a way
of speeding my development by not doing some checks. I always validate
the config with bacula-dir -t
Thanks a lot mate!!! ;)

Good morning,
I have question for whom I have not find a possible answer in the net or
my kindle Books of Bacula...
I wanted to have two different pools with different retention periods
for full copied jobs. In that pools I would like to do one of the
following options :
- To copy a full job

Good afternoon,
One more question, that I have seen it difficult to be absolutely sure
just with the documentation available on the net and my Bacula books
bought.
If I have :
Full
Differential 001
Differential 002
Differential 003
If I want to restore my machine to Diferential 003
Good morning,
One little question about Schedules. Imagine I have this schedule :
Schedule{
Name = "WeeklyCycle"
Run = Full 1st sun at 23: 05
Run = Differential 2nd-5th sun at 23: 05
Run = Incremental mon-sat at 23: 05
}
Imagine I set up a new backup... and I set up in the third
Hi all mates,
Thank you so much for your answer. I see. I got it.

Hi!
I don't use two directors. Just one director with different catalogues.
I would never do that Heitor.
Cheers,

Good morning,
We are planning to use the Scratch pool for automatically having avaible

For this purpose, we planned to create let's say 100 volumes in scratch

Good afternoon,
If you have a pool in a "Non appendable volumes" state, with jobs in a
awaiting storage state so running, and you try to add some new volumes,
each one with a specific capacity, as you launch the label command for
this purpose in bconsole, the new volume gets started using at

Good afternoon,
I have been trying to configure Bacula 11 with PostgreSQL 12 as database
backend. (Have not seen a more advisable combination...)
One of my goals, was to be able to do only once a first full backup and
later each day run an incremental backup.
Basically I wanted to have :
