Hope this proves useful to someone on the list. This short python script will decode some of the values in the File.LStat field, or at least the ones I needed when I wrote this. Script was written to work with MySQL, but could easily be changed to query PostgreSQL or whatever else you want.

Well, I tried it and your fix worked but Kern closed the issue and said he wants to remove the DVD writing code! What? I've been using it for the last year with success and I don't know why he wants to remove it. If he does, I'll have to look for another backup solution but that would be a shame

I remember reading a long time ago when I was configuring Bacula for HPUX that I needed to remove --enable-static-tools from the ./configure options. When I did this and ran make, everything compiled successfully. I then did a make install with no problems. I have bacula up and running. Mike
