[Bacula-users] Bacula at FUDCon / LinuxTag plus invitation to social event
Hello, I've been a bit busy recently, so first, apologies to those of you whose issues I started to work through and then left. One of the reason for the little time I have for the mailing list is that I'm preparing a presentation, as well as BarCamp and hackfest sessions at FUDCon, the Fedora event taking place in Berlin soon. Note that, even though I'm presenting there on behalf of Bacula Systems SA, I try to represent the community as a whole, i.e. this will not be an advertising session for commercial services. In addition to the regular sessions there, we at Bacula Systems decided we would use the opportunity to sponsor a small community get-together in Berlin - I believe some of you live in or near Berlin, or will visit the LinuxTag or FUDCon events anyway. Thus, you are invited to a the get together on June 27 in Berlin. Drinks - up to a reasonable limit - are sponsored by Bacula Systems! I'd really like to meet more of you in person. Even though we don't have to discuss Bacula or Backups or your work, both Eric Bollengier and I will be there to answer any questions you might have regarding the relationship between the Bacula Open Source project and what Bacula Systems does! More details are found here: http://www.baculasystems.com/eng/About-us/Events please pre-register by sending mail to rob.morri...@baculasystems.com - then we will know how many people to expect, and we will send you the directions to the venue :-) More info on FUDCon and LinuxTag: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Berlin_2009 http://www.linuxtag.org/ I hope to see you soon, Arno -- Arno Lehmann IT-Service Lehmann Sandstr. 6, 49080 Osnabrück www.its-lehmann.de -- Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects ___ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users

[Bacula-users] Personal messages for every client
Hi every: I have a group of people setting up some Bacula Clients. I'm checking also some Clients and the Director. I'm asking if is possible to configure Clients in Director (bacula-dir.conf) to send email to the people who configure the client. For example: I'm setting up a client called reynierpm-fd.conf but another specialist is configuring a client called specialist1-fd.conf. Now it's possible to send the Bacula Errors from reynierpm-fd.conf to my email address and the Bacula Errors from specialist1-fd.conf to the specialist email address? Any tip or help? What are the permissions on it? Can you create files in /tmp from the shell when running as the same user as mysqld? Is it a separate partition and does mount show rw for it? [Bacula-users] 3.0.1 Bat, Yes is an invalid Command
Hi, I've just tried to cancel a job in bat. It pops up a dialog. Options are Yes or No. Click yes to cancel, but the Yes goes straight to the cancel command which then says Yes: is an invalid command. Of course I can click 'No' and get No: is an invalid command. --john -- Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects ___ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
Re: [Bacula-users] Where is bat?
Install locations of bat is an issue being addressed I believe. There were inconsistencies in some of the packaging as well as the basic install from compiled source. As a developer I always just run from the source location. All apologies! I think that having the bat binary read the bat.conf from /etc/bacula is a very recent thing in the head. Re: [Bacula-users] 3.0.1 Bat, Yes is an invalid Command
I would not have thought to do it that way which is more like what the command line console would allow. I would have Highlighted all of the jobs in either dir status or joblist and right clicked and chose a cancel option in the popup. My efforts were not in simulating a command line console but in being a gui interface. I just had never tried it that much. I started working on bat shortly after starting using bacula. One thought I had was to have two separate pages, console and bconsole. But that was just a thought, nothing I've contemplated on what it would take to accomplish or discussed with Kern. Where the bconsole would behave completely with text. Dirk On Fri, 2009-06-19 at 12:19 +1200, John Huttley wrote: Hi Dirk. I just type Cancel in the command line thingy. Hi Dirk, I didn't know that was even possible. Actually, I've just tried it and the Director status showed the jobs and let me cancel. The JobList is a blank pane. Not even a pane on the right hand side, to be more precise. Regards, John Dirk Bartley wrote: I would not have thought to do it that way which is more like what the command line console would allow.
