Hi,
I'm using the TS3100 with a CentOS 5.5 and Bacula 5.0.3 and it's working great.
I don't think there are any mainstream Linux dist who won't work with this auto
changer unless they're too old.
It works great with the mtx command also.

Hi:
We're planning to buy a autochanger IBM T3100 but I would like you to
give me some suggestion about this model? Do you know if it's fully
supported with modern Linux distributions? Is it necessary some recent
kernel version? Is it difficult to configure? Would you recommend a
better linux dist

Hi Frank, also don't hesitate to install the suggested -debuginfo package show

They will help in obtaining full and complete trace or linked so

We've been running file based backups for a few weeks while preserving our tape
jukebox on our old (crappy) Legato backup system. Now that I have a
reasonable baseline of file backups, I'm in the process of moving my offsite
tapes onto bacula.
The autochanger and LTO-2 drives are tested and w

Hello Jeroen,
Thank you for the introduction to the new bacula.org project page that we
(you) are working on. Obviously, it is something that I am very happy to see
and have been working toward for quite some time now.
Like you, I project.bacula.org as a place where Bacula users can put their

John,
I think I had to create a bogus schedule, that bacula wouldn't accept
the job config without a schedule. I think I'll disable the job in bconsole
and try to start it remotely. Just see what happens...

I am running Bacula 5.0.1 and have a question about Disabled Jobs.
I have some jobs configured that do not have an active schedule (i.e.,
bacula never automatically queues or runs them)
Instead, these jobs are run by a remote user that logs into the backup
server and runs a script to run the confi

Hi all
I'm working on a Bacula setup, and I have a few questions.
My plan is to setup one pretty well spec'ed up dedicated director (bunch of
RAM, mirrored drives and mirrored SSDs for the indices on PostgreSQL). This
will be placed on a central private network. Servers that are to be backuped

Hi All,
If I run a list media, I see volume 30L4 belonging to the Deans-full
pool, which is correct.
Pool: Deans-full

I now added "Recycle Current Volume = yes" on the Tape pool.
It seems to work now. Thanks!

Have you tried setting a volume use interval on the tapes?

hi,
I got a problem with automatic tape status change, which does not work. Tapes
always got status "Append", even when their retention period is exceeded.
I use a Disk/Tape scheme with Bacula 5.0.2.
I change tapes weekly in a Single Drive HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1760 LTO4.
Copy to tape runs ev
Hi list,
I just hit a segmentation fault with my bacula installation. I hope
someone can help me how to get this fixed.
This happened now the second time within a week, so I think there
might be a bug in the sd code.

Hi folks,
I have an HP 1/8 autoloader lto4 drive which we use for full offline
backups and was wondering wether it's safe to run 2 concurrent jobs on
that device at the same time? Despooling sadly isn't possible at the
moment for lack of disk space, bacula version is 5.0.3 on CentOS
