But then again Bacula IS very good in what it does. It takes a VSS 
Snapshot of the disk whenever it takes a backup. VSS is the Windows 
world Snapshot technology and all backups are consistent and tied to the 
moment the backup starts.

sparing all the dull caches.

Very thanks... Actually the live CD is a bit troublesome. I mean, it's
not like taking a backup with
an agent. Once the full image then incrementally back up. But it must
be over the network.
A live CD can be tiring.

I use the rescue system GRML - https://grml.org/ - including ntfsclone
and gparted for occasional backups and restores of disk images of
Windows workstations, virtual machines.
