Chris thanks a lot for your help! you nailed it, i got one step closer.
I've added the group(Blackberry) and members(evo2-sync & barry) with
msynctool
However when i try to do a: msynctool -sync Blackberry
it starts to sync but at the very end i get this strange messages:
Received an entry 4DB

Sounds like you have two versions installed, perhaps one was installed
from a package such as apt-get or yum and the other was installed from
source?
Have a look for all instances of the library file and account for it.
