I'm still hoping that this would be a preference instead of an applescript.
Most other editors I've tried out recently have this feature. It saves a
lot of typing.

I do what I'm told. Maybe I shouldn't. I downloaded 10.1.1 and
immediately seem to have been bombed out of one of BBEdit's useful
features.
Open File by Name no longer works properly. I select my URL (relative
to root) — and instead of instantly getting the file, get a window in
which that URL
My BBEdit app hangs when I try and do a multi file search. The window
appears, but when I click on the other button to select an different
folder the progrma just hangs and I have to force quit and start
again.
Any ideas? Is this a BBEdit issue or an OS X issue. Do not have any

Just checking: what are you searching on? Some search patterns
match too much if not carefully composed.
