Hello again!
Is it possible to change the color of the elements surrounding the content
of a BBEdit - window, like the file list, the gutter etc?
Thanks!

What I wish for the paragraph settings should look like this: p
break=0,0,0,1 indent
But these settings only seem to affect the print output.
However, I've found the secret settings meanwhile

Did I missed something or there's really no direct (= in

I guess I would like to chime in here as a counter-balance. I get very
frustrated with auto-closing parens, brackets, etc. Although they are very
handy at times, using a tool such as TextExpander or BBE clippings allow me to
have complete control over when they auto complete. Otherwise I find

I'm a bit curious why auto-closing isn't at least a preference as well.

Good call, Chris. I'll submit a feature request.
And I agree that it should be an opt-in preference, William. There are
times that I'm very glad that auto-closing isn't there. But I think it's a
worthwhile option to have.

Hi Vlad,
in BBEdit 11 there is Edit/Select Up – Select Down which makes a 1-column
vertical selection. But I haven't found out a way to expand this... I guess
that's not possible.

Thanks Rich,
that's an intuitive and obvious solution – maybe too obvious for us :)

FWIW, the default key combinations for Select Up (ctrl-shift-up) and Select
Down (ctrl-shift-down) as well as Move Line Up (ctrl-up) and Move Line Down
(ctrl-down) were in use by Mission Control in the system-wide Menu Shortcuts.
I had to disable the system-wide settings to see the behavior
Interesting. I didn't know about that expert preference -- it doesn't look
like it's listed in BBEdit's Help file, although it's quite possible I
missed it.

I did a search of git to see what git support there is in bbedit and
didn't see anything specific to bbedit 11.
I would really love to see the git branch displayed in the text status bar.
I have a top level directory for all of my git repos called repos that I
use as a project in bbedit.
That's it!!!
Thanks, Rich!
