OK, I can do that. I also found the Pref setting to return to the
modal dialog. Not quite sure why the non-modal dialog was inferior. It
comes up easily with CMD-F and goes away when you click Find, etc.
Works for me...
But, I really DO like the ability to edit inside the multi-find
