Local organiser Cheryl Kemp of Biodynamic Agriculture Australia said the
timing of this visit could not be more fortunate, given the extreme drought,
much of Australia is experiencing. Mr Lovel's tour is the result of many
requests from farmers aware
funding, especially trying to get the Organic levies outof the
non-organic sphere. But fear not, it is being taken seriously and wheels are
in motion.
I really appreciate the discussion happening on BDNow to help this issue
along.

This whole issue was a very political way to downsize the UK flocks to allow

Now I need some help with orange skins in the

as they have losts of skins every day, is it ok to
compost or will they kill off all the worms?
I know worms dont

Oh Allan,
the farm and the flowers and fruit look so lovely. My garden is all dead and
white and frosted over as we have been having a very cold and dry winter, so
it was such a delight to see all the colour in your CSA.
Keep up your good work!

Dear Dan,
One of our members recently got some 5 year old BD
500 tested at SFI as a lump - compost and it came up with Total fungal biomass
688 ug/g with good diversity in sample. Active fungal biomass was 19.5 ug/g and
active Bacterial biomass 23.2ug/g
We are awaiting the final bacterial
From Allan B.
Thanks for this information, Cheryl. Where did this testing occur? At
a SFI lab in Australia? (When reporting SFI results, please also
include the location of the lab.) I hope someone has the time to
extrapolate on the meaning of your 'ug/b' figures.
Yes, we have a SFI lab in
