does not boot lool.

I think like you : 
firstly config pin correctly
secondly found what is needed with hal_bb_gpio from machinekit

I have forget to launch firstly the BBIO file but i have also error :

machinekit@beaglebone:~/cortini-lathe$ ./runprepfuraday.py
loading furaday_stepgen.bbio... P8_07 pinmux file not found!
Pin has no cape: P8_07

Like you i have now a BBB AI, and i like if this is possible to run 
machinekit.

For now i have installed RT kernel suggested here, install some dependancy.

halcmd loadusr io started
main-real.hal:7: insmod failed, returned -1:
rtapi_rpc(): reply timeout

Line 7 :
loadrt hal_bb_gpio output_pins=807,808,809,810,815,817,818 
input_pins=911,912,913,915,917,918,924,925,926,928

[beagleboard] BB-Blue and stepper motor

It is possible with this version beaglebone-blue to control motor stepper 
driver like leadshine dm556 in place of servo ? (i can try some hw mod if 
needed)

Also for this use, machinekit can work with this board ?
