We have exchange...I cant believe that there is no way to to have them sync.
It seems like it would be such a commonly used thing. I know you can send them
to groups in the GAL but it just boggles my mind that they didn't make local
groups sync.

Distrobution groups do sync, but requires OS 5.0. Not sure if it also needs BES
5. I have both and I have a local distribution group that synced.

I don't believe server based distribution lists sync. You may have a local

That's what we're trying to determine. I'm on BES5 w/Exchange and a Bold 9700
(OS v5). If I have a personal distro list, it syncs between Outlook my BB.
None of the GAL/OAB distro lists sync.

Noticed recently (A LOT of them)
Report Server Windows Services (MSSQLSERVER) cannot connect to the report

Our company uses a proxy server to filter web pages such as Facebook and
MySpace. I was reading through the instructions to set up the BES to
use the proxy server and it seems like it's an all or nothing type of
deal. Am I reading correctly, or is there a way that I can set up
Local distribution groups do not sync with 4.1 BES. They do with 5.0 I believe

Pretty much that is the procedure, but you also need to make sure that
account mapping on the new server is done properly.
