My slimserver crashed today (repeatable) whilst trying to transition from one
track to the next. I use cross-fade, so it crashed with 11 seconds remaining.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on - I run slimserver.pl as a
service via srvany. When it crashed, I tried to stop the

Since slimserver is crashing - I suspect the problem is not the
cmd.exe stuff - it's just staying around because it normally shuts
down when the data is read but by being around it keeps ports etc.
