What web browser do you guys think is the best, most compatible for the

That's my personal preference list, not an official Logitech statement:
- FF2 (without Firebug)
- Safari (Mac only, haven't tested enough on Windows)
- Opera
- IE7

- IE6

Opera is my web browser of choice for almost everything, but found it
to be a bit slow/choppy for Squeezecenter so I've been using since some
weeks ago Firefox to navigate around Squeezecenter. I
Both FF2 Opera 9.2 on my Suse 10.1 KDE works OK .

Even if you are running headless, you can still open up the MIP
application GUI and use the application window. It does crash
occasionally, so a good idea to take a backup of your default.m3lib
file, just in case (although I've never had to use mine).

This is reflected in the web interface and on the players themselves.

I have some suggestions on the handling of various artists compilations.
I'm not sure how well this would work for other types of music
collection but it would suit mine.
I've looked at SC7 and it does what I want provided that I don't tag
anything as a compilation and only use album artists
Are we going to see better podcast management for 7.0? I would really
like to see a separate category in the 'music library' so that the
podcasts i download via iTunes dont appear in my main music/album
collection.
Is there a work around in the meantime?

SLIMSERVER:[/B] 7.0
Hi
I tried running Softsqueeze 3.4 with SC7 (build 16243 on Vista). After
SQ starts up it states that my version is optimised for SS6.5 but I'm
running SS7.0 (sic) and that I should upgrade SQ. On clicking Download
now, it takes me to http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net which seems to
be rather

The Pandora display is great, showing the album art and

What is the problem with Radioio showing the same things? It only has

Thanks...

The latest version of SoftSqueeze is 3.6, but I'm not sure exactly how
long ago it was released. I suggest you just delete the old version of
SoftSqueeze, update SC to the latest nightly and then reinstall
SoftSqueeze via the Click to install and run SoftSqueeze link.

Let me add my voice to those noting the synch improvements in 7.0.
I had been running SlimServer (since 5.4.1) on XP pro since I bought my
first Squeezebox in late 2004. Some months back I decided to give Linux
a shot on this dedicated server. All it does is run SlimServer (now
SqueezeCenter)
Useful advice. I downloaded the latest SC nightly and tried installing
from the SC Extras SQ web page - and 3.6 is now installed and
working fine! :-)
However that page also refers to the outdated SQ download page, but
sorry I've no idea how to file a bug.

What appears to be happening is...
I make a change to a player's menus, then when I change the player in
the drop down list, the new menu setting is being written to the prefs
file under the player I'm moving to as well as the one that I'm
leaving, so when the page is redrawn for the new player,

Hi,
I'm liking the new default web interface a lot, but I can't find the

Thanks,

No, the rollover is a different issue. Not sure I'm right, but some profiling

My guess is the problem is the SB1s. In terms of maintaining
synchronization, this is the hardest case - SliMP3s are actually
better. And I must admit that I have done less testing with SB1s that
with other player types. I would certainly not rule out a logic bug in
this case.
