SC drives me crazy.
I had to install 7.4 for I didn't get MySQL in 7.3.x running.
Now it worked for two days then - the SAME version r27388 - didn't scan
new files. Hitting the scanner button has no effect and the scanner.exe
doesn't run. The log file says:

Wanted to give an update on 7.4 scanner performance after some changes I
made last night and this morning.
This is measuring the raw performance of the scanner, without any disk
read overhead, and is pretty encouraging.

My two cents (two euros?) worth.
I find listening to the Internet Radio or Pandora for that matter very
frustrating on my SqueezeBox3. Stations will play anywhere from over
twenty-four hours to less than 10 minutes and then stop. In
conversations with Logitech Tech Support I've been told this is
I just checked in a change related to bug 3161. It should make quite a
bit of difference. Note, it is only in the 7.4 code base, which is
rather pre-beta just now.

Now, is this bad luck, or what? :-)
fliflip just released ver 3.19 of SSODS, including Audio:Scan 0.23. I
guess he was waiting for Audio:Scan to settle, yet today Audio:scan was
upgraded to 0.24.
Is life funny sometimes :-)

Hum: Is ... it supposed to work this way or is this a bug ?
I'd prefer to think of it as undefined operation, which happens to work
differently than you would like!

Encouraging, yes.
How much of that is due to the scanner being an exe, and how much is due to

I'm not seeing a change in 7.4/trunk. Is this only in 7.4/noweb-sqlite?

Okay, I'll try that branch.

put in work around some of those issues.
Even more encouraging.

I tried the noweb-sqlite latest code stream again tonight.

Kicking the scanner off from the web UI still doesn't show any scanner progress
