Yes, as we've done before, this will be checked in right before release,
so the final build points to production MySB.
So after SbS 7.5 is released, which mySB will the SbS 7.5embedded
nightly's point to?

Test, as embedded will become 7.6/trunk (or whatever next).

No, the database size doesn't appear anywhere.
But even if it did, how could you tell it's - say - twice its expected
size?

Looks like I've found a bug in the embedded scanner.
main::main (202) Starting Squeezebox Server scanner (v7.5.0, r30382,
Wed Mar 17 02:05:35 PDT 2010) perl 5.01
Slim::Music::Import::runImporter (473) Starting
Slim::Music::MusicFolderScan scan
Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::rescan (138)
After restarting the server, it looks like the Db is in trouble.

Just in case somebody cares, I've done some more testing on that ubuntu
system for which 7.5e won't run at all and added the results to the
bug:

Summary: it's the scanner. Why? Well... something seems to be blocking
comms.

this gets back to an active feedback feature i wish sbs had. if SBS
sent stats to logitech that they collected anonymously (if opted) but in
aggregate, they could then display the results of those stats in a
second info page right in SBS.
so you could see for instance, your DB filesize vs all
so you could see for instance, your DB filesize vs all users avg
filesize who had within 100 tracks or so what you had numberwise.
That's never going to work well - it would be a meaningless number. The same
set of tracks loaded on different machines could give a different DB size, due
to many
i really don't care if you think it will never work well. with that
expectation why would it?
besides, you're wrong, if most users with about the same number of
tracks had a 30meg DB file, and you had a 1gig file, that would be a
good place to start looking, sans AA tags or not. (besides the
7.5 Embedded with SQLite is a little delicate. I've had to delete the
database on several occasions to get it out of some kind of odd state
that it couldn't recover from on its own. Seems to usually be caused by
the scanner choking or not being shut down properly.

I think it is related to the seperate scanner process trying to
initially populate the db, while the internal process is doing the same
thing. I killed off the external scanner and the internal one found
things by itself.

Hi I'm using ClarkConect 4.2 linux on a via C7 machine OS is on an SSD
drive.
My previus experinces with some of the 7.4b SQ lite builds was a total
system collapse requiring reformatting of my SSD drive to get my server
back up and running again ?
The symptoms where that is was totally 100%
