The spring 2010 conference of the Acoustical Society of America will
take place April 19-23, 2010 in Baltimore. There are plans for many
sessions related to bioacoustics:
* Auditory attention, learning and memory: From neurons to behavior
* Effects of anthropogenic noise on aquatic animals
* Estimating spatial density of animal populations with passive acoustics
* Incorporating context into acoustic automated detection and
classification algorithms
* Signal processing for subtle and complex animal communications
* Acoustics in polar environments
* Blast-induced traumatic brain injury: Mechanisms, assessment,
therapy, and mitigation
* Acoustics and public policy
* Effect of noise on humans and non-human animals
* Standards in psychoacoustics
* Classification methods in acoustics and non-Gaussian noise
* Noise control of small submersible vehicles
[Two of these have apparently merged, but I'm not certain which two.]
You're invited to submit abstract(s) for one or more of these sessions,
or for other topics if you like (ASA conferences normally include a
"General Topics" session). The abstract deadline is TODAY November 16.
