Since it hasn't been mentioned; a Parasitic Jaeger was on the beach at
Presque'ile in the early afternoon on Sunday Sept. 5. It was sitting
amongst the seaweed that had washed up onto the beach. The bird was

Lots of Least, Semi's, Pectorals and Lesser Yellowlegs. Saturday there were at
least 4 Stilt Sandpipers but they were absent from view today.
Also today buzzing the shorebirds there was both a Merlin and a
The Blenheim Sewage Lagoons continue to to be productive, with cell 1 having
good habitat.
This afternoon there was one Whimbrel and 4 Buff-breasted Sandpipers there.
Also many other shorebirds including at least 3 Stilt Sandpipers, Lesser

Went today to Rock Point provincial park and even with the wind blowing in off
the lake thus being not alot of beach for shorebirds there were a few nice
birds. Highlight was 3 juvenile Red Knots, also here were White-rumped
Sandpiper, Semipalmated plovers and sandpipers, Pectoral and Spotted sa
Found a Rusty Blackbird under my feeders in my back yard in Sratford this
morning about 7:30, It was feeding for about 15 minutes before it was scared
off. My backyard borders Redford Park bounded by St. Vincent St S. and Redford
Cres. about 3 blocks south of the hospital. Jean Kelly
