The Glossy Ibis was relocated last evening at 7h30 at the same location where
found yesterday.
The bird was observed for 15 minutes, then it flew off heading in an easterly
direction following the river.

The bird was on the floodplain of the Carp
On July 4th, between 8:00 and 8:15 p.m, a Cattle Egret in adult breeding
plumage was seen at Isaac Lake Road just off Highway 6 on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Cattle Egret was sitting on a bale of hay, just beyond the marsh area (on
the right side of the road) in an agricultural field. Directions
as per B. de Labio the glossy Ibis was re-spotted today july 05 in the carp
river overflow area. it was there between 7.45-8.45 a.m.. it was feeding on the
south shore.Thanks Ben and Bruce.

town at 12 Noon. It was first at the water edge then flew up beside the cows
near the road for a 10 min feed then flew back to the water and went back tot

Although the Eared Grebe was missing from the Embrun Lagoons this morning, we
located a breeding plumage bird at around 10:30am in the west pond of the
Casselman Lagoons.
This is most likely the same bird that has been at the Embrun Lagoons since
Saturday.

Subcommittee on a Blue-winged Warbler well seen and heard at the
Britannia Conservation Area at 10:55 this morning, July 5. It was
along the trail to the southwest corner of Mud Pond.

This afternoon at 3:00 PM I saw a European Goldfinch at the
Claireville Ranch entrance to Claireville Conservation area. The bird
was clearly visible at a distance of 20 metres or less as it foraged

Just a heads up that today, July 5th, at 1:30p.m. Ben and I had close-up views
of the ibis and and got a few photos. It appears the ibis maybe a White-faced
Ibis based on the pink facial skin, red eye, and appears to have reddish
looking knee joints. The ibis was still present

morning. When we arrived it was still resting on a hay bale, but at around
10:50 it started feeding in the surrounding grass and we were no longer able to

The White-faced Ibis was last seen flying east along the Carp River towards
Kanata at 6:30p.m. Hopefully it will return as it did last night. We will be
checking tomorrow morning and will post if it is present.

The White Pelican was at its post in the west central part of Oshawa Second
Marsh at 2 p.m. today. Due to construction at the GM parking lot, pls exercise
caution as there's lots of heavy equipment. We saw the bird from just inside
the construction gate, by standing on the grass.

Just after noon today, there was a Dickcissel at the Blenheim Sewage Lagoons.
It was on the fence east of the water treatment building. Also present were
Bobolinks and various shorebirds including three dowitchers in the aeration
sprinkler cells.
