are being noted. Barred Owls and Northern Saw-whet Owls are calling near the
Park, and likely within it as well although unreported. Researchers have now
found eight Gray Jay nests under construction.

A brief respite from the wintry conditions that have prevailed at Presqu’ile
Provincial Park occurred last weekend when somewhat milder weather was
accompanied by an influx of hundreds of ducks, many of which are still present

There appeared to be the head of a GHO sticking out of the top of a squirrel
nest in the tall trees just east of the parking lot at 47 Sheppard Ave East in
Toronto.
This sighting was on February 20.
The nest was about forty feet up, in a busy area, so it is unlikely that
twitchers will spook
There has been a Snowy Owl hanging around my subdivision for at least a
month. I see her regularly on top of roofs. Specific dates I have seen her
are January 27th , February 16th, 17th, 18th and 25th. I live on the south
east subdivision at Mulock and Bayview in Newmarket.

Hello Birders
Today, Wednesday Feb 26th, while leading a Riverwood Conservancy Bird Walk in
South Mississauga, we found a female Snowy Owl at the Lakefront Promenade park.
The bird was on the boat post at the Port Credit Yacht Club.
