This evening, I observed an adult Black-headed Gull with a group of Bonaparte's
Gulls during my daily watch of the gulls flying out of the Niagara River, as
viewed from Queen's Royal Park in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Black-headed Gull
passed by with about 40 Bonaparte's Gulls at 5:07 PM.

According to some birders Jamie Spence's photos show a distant dark Snow Goose
and not a Pink-footed Goose (PFGO). My photos support this also. Sorry for
the false hope. Although it has not been seen for several days I think it
should still be around. If we see the PFGO again we will post.
A light to medium west wind all day without a strong north component
resulted in a limited flight of birds, although the day was not
completely without migrants. Aside from the usual red-tailed hawks,
sharp-shinned, red-shouldered and turkey vulture, a high dark morph
rough-legged
