I too ventured out to see the Eurasian Wigeon this afternoon, which, in tow
with Baxter Naday, the two of us did see with no problem.
We only counted 3 other wigeon there. 2 of these were clearly adult male

While scanning for the Eurasian Wigeon at the spit late this afternoon
(4:45pm), I came across what appears to be a Tufted Duck x Scaup hybrid. The
bird has a noticeable stubby tuft and charcoal back (darker than surrounding
Greater Scaup). It was roughly 150m offshore at the mouth of the

My mom just found the bird at 7153 Brick Yard Line. It's flying all over the

Tommy Thompson park. I was leaving for a trip but figured I could check at
first light for the reported bird from yesterday.
Still present this morning. When I left at approx 745 it was at the far south
end of marina channel. In open water with a large group of 500+ ducks. Near the
