Birders,
Just a follow-up on this mega-rarity.
A few of us watched the Black-throated Sparrow right up till sunset. It seemed
to stay along the fence line behind (east of) the covered picnic area for the
time I was there (6:15 to sunset around 7), at around 6:50 or so it flew to the

Today Friday Oct. 4 Bob Tyler, Margaret Liubavicius, Jenny Bull and I birded
Hanlan’s and Gibraltar Points and though it was a long day it was a good day
and tomorrow could be very good as well (or not).
Following are some of the birds we found.
2 Pied-billed Grebes, Great Blue Herons, Great
Take Courtice Rd exit off 401, proceed south on Courtice Rd for 100m, turn
left on Megawatt Dr for 1km, turn right on Crago Rd for a few 100m, soccer
fields on left

Bird was still present when I left 10 mins ago, for those interested. Still
many birders there. Good views but moving about the edge surrounding the
soccer fields.

Directions
Exit courtice rd and head south to megawatt rd. Turn left and follow megawatt.
To crago rd. Turn south. The soccer field on on the east side of rd. Bird is
feeding with
I am currently studying a bird that appears to be a Western Kingbird
It is sitting on some wires at the intersection of Cove roan and lakeshore
road which is west it Port Royal
