At the Powassan sewage lagoon Thursday aft. - south-east cell; now with a very
shallow bottom; 3 White-rumped Sandpipers with one Semi-pal, and 3 Greater
Yellow-legs (plus lots and lots of Bufflehead in neighbouring cells! )
This lagoon is off the south-going section of highway 11, just
I had four White-rumped Sandpipers at the Mitchell Sewage Lagoons as of
5:30. Then flew over the Baseball field ten minutes after we first observed
them.
Mitchell Sewage Lagoons are located at the end of Wellington Street in
Mitchell.

Hello Ontbirders. Please excuse this late post. Yesterday evening at the Port
Rowan Sewage Lagoons I had 4 White-rumped Sandpipers. This seems like a lot to
me, especially for the spring, but this spring has produced a lot of this
species for some reason... many more than I have ever seen in

Today John Nishikawa, Kevin Seymour, Greg Stuart and I went down to
Rock Point Provincial Park in search of Shorebirds. On the rocky
(fossil) beach we found one group of shorebirds near the east end, and
a few individuals scattered along the beach. The highlight was four

Today Mary Schuster, John Nishikawa and I birded Rock Point and
surrounding area. The beach at Rock Point Provincial Park provided
excellent views of many individuals of nine species of shorebirds:

Between 7:00 and 8:15 a.m, these birds were observed at very close range to
the west of Trotter Dyke.

was an adult and one immature. No other shorebirds were present except a
