Deryl Nethercott messaged me just now to say that the American White Pelicans are back on Lake Chipican in Canatara Park, Sarnia. Last Sunday/Monday (16/17 June), 2 pelicans were in L. Chipican and flew around 0915 Monday. 2 pelicans were then spotted 1 hour later in Kettle Point, ON, just up

I arrived just after 7 thus morning and spent 3 hours on the dikes, including the east-west dike to view the north ponds and did not relocate the pelicans. Great morning to view the Black terns, nesting Snapping turtles and Trumpeter swan cygnets...
