I just got in a report from Danielle Aulenback that she had a GREAT EGRET in
the Coves South Pond at dusk this evening. This is funny because I was just
talking about egrets with someone.
The coves can be reached via the directions I have had in previous ONTBIRDS
postings.

The birding at Presqu'ile Provincial Park was excellent today. There was a good
movement of land birds including 1000+ Yellow-rumped Warbler, 200+
White-throated Sparrow, 50+ White-crowned Sparrow, and 150+ American Pipit.
Other land birds of noted included 2 Gray-cheeked Thrush, 1
The juvenile and sub adult Long-tailed Jaeger have been putting on another
show again today with passes by Hutch's and Lakeland Tower and sitting on
the water for those who are patient.
We are certainly getting spoiled with this species this year.

This morning brought a scad of migrants to the woods and area, and today will
likely be the best day to bird Highland Woods.
