The Black-necked Stilt, reported previously by Sarah Rupert on behalf of Derek
& Jen Lyon, was being observed this afternoon by a number of birders on a small
patch of flooded field just south of Mersea Rd. 1 (42°01'47.7"N
82°30'07.5"W). This road runs along the southern boundary of Hillman

David Pryor heard the rail first and got some happy birders on the rail calling
. The first call is at 6:53 PM. It's about 40 yards in the marsh on to west
side... North west of the bridge over sedge wren marsh on Wylie road.
Sedge wren marsh is in the Carden Alvar and is on Wylie road in
Bird located by many, notified by Jeremy Hatt.
Directions Mersea Rd 1 turns to dirt and dead end. Bird seen on south side
in mud flats and low water foraging.

1, one road over from where Kory posted. I did not refind it but many birders
have seen it here. Good birding!

We just refound the Black-necked Stilt on Mersea Rd B just east of Mersea Rd 19
in the field behind house #1931/1933. There are also a few Golden Plovers in
the field.

We are currently looking at a female Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler at the old
entrance to Northwest Beach at Point Pelee NP at the end of Point Pelee Dr.
southeast of Leamington. It was found at about 1:00 today by Dan and Paul
MacNeal. It's heading toward Sanctuary parking lot, which is
