The predicted surge of passerine migrants after the weekend cold front
proved to be more of a trickle, but an unexpected rarity and a
resurgence of shorebirds have made for an exciting week of birding at
Presqu'ile Provincial Park.

On the 9th I spent a couple hours at the West Perth Wetlands (Mitchell Sewage
Lagoons) in Perth county.
I was pleased with the number of shorebirds observed, ending with a total of 10
species.

Good morning Ontbirders,
At 10:20 AM this morning, I observed a flock or 7-8 Red Crossbills fly into the
top of a tamarack tree near my cottage in Tobermory. They stayed for about a
minute then flew off over my head in a southeasterly direction. I was not able
to relocate them. I suspect tha
