Sally Cheung (our interpretive naturalist intern) just found 130 Bohemian
Waxwings in The Arboretum at the University of Guelph. They appeared to be
eating buckthorn berries. There is a good chance they will stick around for a
bit as we have lots of berry-producing woody

The bird was last seen at 12:30 PM today. No updates since then, at least
that I am aware of. Additionally, I recently heard from Jeff Skevington
that he had chatted with the neighbour next door to Denise's property. This
neighbour is fine to have people stand next to his
The bird was seen briefly by me at 8:40 am and then for longer at about 9am
by Paul Matthews and Richard Killeen. No one has seen it since.
More photos are still needed to support this being a morphologically pure
Lazuli but the original photo from the finder is convincing.

Apologies for the spam, but sort of a preemptive detail here, as I don't
believe I made this as clear as I could in my previous posting. You can
only view the bird from the NCC property, which is located behind the home
of Denise and James Smith. You cannot see her backyard

feeding in my Chanticlear Pear tree this morning.Newmarket is accessible via

The homeowner's are Denise and James Smith. I've chatted with Denise by
email this morning. I wanted to go over a visitation structure with her,
once again, especially now that the bird has been re-seen. Ultimately,
