[Ontbirds] Red-tailed hawk nesting in Riverdale back yard

I'm not sure if this is significant or not.  I know that Red-tailed hawks have been nesting in Toronto ravines for some time.  However we have a pair nesting in a tall white pine in our backyard in Riverdale, Toronto.  They began building the nest last August but are now definitely  raising a

[Ontbirds] Mallard X Pintail Drake - Speed River downtown Guelph

For any Guelphites (or others) interested , I just saw a Mallard X Pintail drake on the Speed River just downstream of the concrete foot bridge upstream of the River Run Centre. Unfortunately no camera for pics but may try later. Was seen around 1:15 pm, about 10 m downstream of bridge.

[Ontbirds] Marbled Godwit at Presqu'ile

Yesterday evening when I approached Ron Tozer on Beach 3, he had just recently found an adult Marbled Godwit. I first viewed it feeding towards Owen Point from Beach 3, at the "No Access beyond this point" sign on the shore. Sometimes it would hide in the willows along the beach and at one
