The Varied Thrush was easily seen today at the feeder at the entrance of the
office to the Bark Lake Conference and Leadership Centre. It was showing
well from 11:00am to 1:30pm until we left.

I just saw a lone Sandhill Crane in a corn field very close to the Pink Rd,
just west of Perry Rd, next to 468 Pink Rd. It was keeping company with two

This morning from my back deck, I was entertained by three Peregrine
Falcons. What look to be, two juveniles and one adult. The show last over an
hour, before I was the one to have to leave.
The juveniles mostly soared with the up drafts from the southern face of

It spend about an half hour sunning itself before leaving.

Hello,
I was able to watch an adult Golden Eagle from our patio today, as it
soared, hawking in the wind, finally landing on an out crop at the top of
King Mountain. American Crows and Common Ravens mobbed it for over an half
hour before it few in a southern direction.

It has just been brought to my attention, that on this past Monday a male
Blue Grosbeak was photographed on a feeder at a private resident near the
area of March Rd and Dunrobin Rd.
Just giving a heads up to any local birders in this area.

While driving south on Roger Stevens Drive around noon today, I saw a
Loggerhead Shrike perched on a utility line, approx. 1km north of Douglas
Rd, near a small golf course, north of Smiths Falls.
