Yesterday ( Sept. 15/16 ) Bob Tyler and I birded Ward’s and Algonquin Islands
on the Toronto Islands on a beautiful day to be out and following are some of
the 56 species we found down there.
Note:- Many of the warblers and the Red-eyed and Philadelphia Vireos were under
counted as many of thes
An ibis has been spotted at Shirley's Bay. Discussion is ongoing as to whether
it is White-faced or Glossy. In flight, there was no markings visible. Current
discussion is leaning toward Glossy Ibis.
Shirley's Bay lagoon is on firing range property so you must call the range
office for permiss
The Ibis on the mudflats flew off at 10.30am and has not returned as of now.
The identification of the exact species is still unclear pending photos and
review of the literature.

from Lakeland tower

Black Vulture
Been flying about the lake for 30 minutes or so. SEEN WELL is the most
important aspect of this sighting.
