Hi all:
I am fairly new to sheep, and have two seven month old BB ewes.
This
morning one of them did not want to eat her grain. They get a small
amount of sheep feed each AM and PM, which is an alfalfa based pellet.
She obviously does not feel well. Her ears are droopy.

Thank you for all the good suggestions. They were wormed about 5 weeks ago
with oral Ivermectin. She seems better this afternoon and nibbled on some
grass, so hopefully we are on the road to recovery. I will get some Probios
this afternoon, and put out some baking soda. I will give them anot

Hi all:
I am in the process of putting up fence for my BB sheep. For my paddock area I
have used sheep and goat fencing with 4x4 squares with electric

field fence? I would like to fence our perimeter, and the

Hi all:
I just had my second ewe lamb last night. She had twins, a ram and a ewe
between 2:45 and 3:45 AM. When the first one (the ram) was born she began to
clean him off, but once he moved she began butting him into the wall.
Fortunately I was there to rescue him. She did a little better w
Thank you Mary. If you can find the picture that would be great. I've been
looking through the plans and have found a portable stanchion which would
probably work.

Thank you to all for the good advice. The lambs continue to do well. Mom lets
the babies nurse while I hold her, and has become increasingly less aggressive
with them over the course of the day. I am hopeful that she will accept them.

Sorry Carol, forgot to switch to plain text again. Try earthworkshealth.com.
They have DE at what seems to be a reasonable price.

I have a ram lamb that was born last Saturday (Sept 14). From the beginning he
wasn't right. He was born in the barn sometime between 2 AM and 7AM. When I
found him he was dried off, but had managed to get in behind the lambing jug,
and was stuck back there, inaccessible to Mom. I got him ou
Thanks to all who have given feedback on this little lamb. He seems to be
doing better with the regular bottle feedings, and is much stronger today.
Since I have goats, he is getting goat milk, and seems to be doing well on it.
Guess I'll have to accept that I have a bottle baby.
