suggestion - Caps Lock key trigger QS

2014-08-27 Thread Fritz Lang
it would be great to be able to use Caps Lock as QS trigger.
Since I've (and many others I know) have disabled Caps Lock.
I have no idea of the feasibility of this, but FWIW.

Thanks,

Fritz

The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some
kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the journalism
industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men
die like dogs, for no good reason.

Checkout Karabiner (formerly KeyRemap4Macbook). It will let you remap
CapsLock to another key, then you can point QuickSilver at that key.

Clipboard, paste items from list

2014-08-27 Thread Trond W. Andersen
Is it possible to setup Clipboard so you can copy, copy, copy items into a
list and then paste the items in the same (or opposite) order one by one?

You can do this. If you go to Preferences → Command, there are
settings for “Modifier-only activation”. You can enable that for
Caps Lock, but only if you’re willing to double-tap it. The other
modifiers will work with a single *or* double tap.

Or, you can do what I always do:

  1. Set your Caps Lock key to be another Control key (in System
Preferences → Keyboard → Modifier Keys…)

  2. Configure Quicksilver to activate with a single tap of Control

Karibiner is also an option, but that’s killing a mosquito with a
bazooka. :-)

Re: Clipboard, paste items from list

2014-08-27 Thread Jon Stovell
Yes. Install the Clipboard plugin. It will capture your clipboard history
(by default the last 9 items, but you can change this as you see fit). Then
you just open the clipboard history list and chose the item(s) you want to
paste, in whatever order you need.
