Maury, There may be variations on this, but this is how I do it. Start Open Book. It will normally open in the edit mode where you can go directly to scanning. Open Book has it's own voice, and JAWS should quit speaking while you are running Open Book. So you may want to change some voice

Tom, Openbook 7 or higher allows one to scan a document directly into word, (document 1), by going in the menu of document 1 and entering, scan using openbook. I had not use the feature in quite a while, but I finally figure it out. Thanks! Maury, - Original Message - From:
