In Windows 7 go to run or start menu and look for dfrgui. Tab around and use your jaws cursor to look around to get a feel for how this works. Find your c:\ drive then hit applications key then look for a defrag disk option and hit enter. You can read the page with jaws cursor to read status. And

I use Vinux. They just announced Vinux 3.1, based on the latest Ubuntu 10.1. It is available free at vinux.org.uk and it's mirrors. You can download either the CD or DVD ISO files and burn to a disk. There is now a Quick Start Guide on the web site and the DVD edition. Just insert the disk

I don't think Speakup supports usb synths. But I don't own a hardware synth my self so I'm not sure. I know Speakup supports serial port synths though and I think it's possible to get a usb synth to work by using a usb to serial converter. But don't quote me on that! I use software speech with S
