I don't know if this really matters but I do notice it scans a lot faster if
you unplug the external from the computer before turning it on also. Wow
that was like some wicked long run on sentence, grin.

Reboot the machine and give it a lot of time to come back up.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Defrag
Hi when I went to run a defrag it came up with this me
Have you tried shutting the machine down and then turning
back on? Many times if chkdsk is scheduled to run it will do
so at the next boot up. Otherwise go into system tools and
schedule it for the next time you boot up

Hi when I went to run a defrag it came up with this message
Disc defragmenter has detected that chkdsk is scheduled to run on volume c.
Please run chkdsk/f. What do I need to do to run the defrag on drive C? I do
have an external drive connected but don't wish to defrag this.

Hi John;
1. Press Windows key + R, to open the run dialog box.
2. Type "msconfig", without the quotes, into the run dialog box.
3. Press Control + Tab, until you land on the Startup Page. After msconfig
is opened I'm pretty sure it is 5, controltabs.
4. Arrow down this list but, pay really close
here is what you can do when opening windows player 12 hit alt and space bar
and then x it will show you all the different fields I have the same problem
I am not exactly happy about this either.

Now that you found the msconfig, alt tab until you hear start-up. arrow down to
the program you want to remove and uncheck the box. note: be careful not to
uncheck any windows components or things you're not familiar with, because you
can remove important files that makes your pc run.
After you
How do I get into msconfig.
If I type msconfig in the run area nothing comes up.
