Re: [Blind-Computing] question about text messaging
Hi. I was also wondering if you can send a text message from your computer to a cell phone. My mother's learning to text so just for fun I thought I'd try texting a message to her. I'll have to ask verizon how to go about this. I could ask Mom if her phone has internet access. Re: [Blind-Computing] question about text messaging
I think that can be done with skype. It's called SMS messaging. Maybe you can google sms messaging and see if you can find other ways to do it too if you don't want to do it with skype. -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Rosemarie Chavarria Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2009 11:41 PM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] question about text messaging Hi. Re: [Blind-Computing] question about text messaging
Hi Mich, You should not get charged for sending a text message from your computer to a cell phone. I just want to make sure that you are putting the message you're typing to the person in the subject line, right? Otherwise the person won't get it, or they'll get it as an attachment, which most providers frown upon. Smile. I just have a quick question about text messaging. if some one was texting some one at home from there pc and the person was receiving the texts on there phone would the person on the pc get charged for sending the texts? I don't think so since I think it is like E Mail so it is free or at least covered but I was just wondering. from Mich.
